A native of North Carolina, Pastor Carmichael received his bachelors degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, N.C. As a strong proponent of higher education, Pastor Carmichael graduated from Liberty University Theological Seminary with a Master's Degree in Religion/Pastoral Counseling. Pastor Carmichael's life is committed to helping people lead productive and effective lives. When the Apostle Paul spoke to the Thessalonians church, he described scripture as "the Word of God, which is at work in you who believe" (1 Thess. 2:13). Pastor Carmichael believes that the equipping ministry of the Word is the primary instrument for spiritual empowerment . Pastor Carmichael has authored his first book, entitled, "The Power of Trusting God". This book encourages people to put their trust in the sovereignty God.  

Elder Rebecca Olliver Carmichael is an ordained elder from the Wake Association who adores God and who loves to worship and praise Him.  Her priorities are ordered in the fashion of God First, then her Family and then the Church.
                   

Elder Carmichael graciously labors, in the Ministry, alongside her husband of thirty-four years, Terry Lamont Carmichael, Sr., who is Senior Pastor of the Elevation Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.  They are extremely proud of their family, which consists of two sons, one daughter-in-law, one granddaughter, and one grandson.

Because of her genuine love for people, God has always placed her in positions in the secular world that promotes binding of the broken-hearted and setting free those in captivity.  

 Elder Carmichael's mission has always and continues to be one of empowering women to become spiritually, physically and emotionally sound, by the pulling down of strongholds through prayer and supplication to God..
